Rebecca is a Senior Translator at Legal Translations Ltd., having joined the company in 2004. Her decade and more in translation and editorial work is underpinned by several years of practical legal experience.
Born and raised in London, Rebecca is fully bilingual and has studied both in Israel and England, in Hebrew and English.
Her LL.B. degree is from the Warwick School of Law at Warwick University in England (1998), a law school known to focus on the impact of changes in society on the law. To redress the balance between the country of her birth, and her adoptive country, Rebecca studied for – and achieved – an MA in Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2000).
Prior to joining Legal Translations Ltd., Rebecca worked as an attorney at law firm Ophir Katz & Co. (2001-2004), where she advised commercial entities and not-for-profit institutions.
She was admitted to the Israel Bar in 2001, after completing her legal internship with the Matza Law Office (2000-2001).
Since 2001 Rebecca has served as Director of the Dorot Fellowship Program, which each year selects 10 Dorot Fellows from the United States to give them opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Israel and Israeli society with a view to becoming social and community leaders in Jewish communities in the US.
