Dr. Elad Lapidot, Adv.

Elad is a member of the firm’s translating team, and has been working with Legal Translations Ltd. since 2004. He is a translator, writer, editor, researcher and lecturer. Elad, who lives in Berlin, specializes in the translation of legal, business and financial materials, translating to Hebrew from German, French and English, and to English from German, French and Hebrew.

Elad was admitted to the Israel Bar in 1999, after completing his LL.B. studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1998).

Elad also has an MA (2002) and a Doctorate in Philosophy (2008), both from the Sorbonne University in Paris. During the years in which he lived in Paris, and during the course of his studies, Elad completed a second legal internship with Paris law firm Kahn & Associés in 2003 and passed the Bar exams in Paris (2003).

Elad served in the IDF Military Prosecutor’s Office as a Legal Advisor (1998-2001). In parallel with his military service, he worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and at the Ramat Gan College of Law and Business, as well as at the Israel Democracy Institute and the Association for Civil Rights in Israel.

In addition to his translation work, Dr. Lapidot is a lecturer and researcher at the Free University (Freie Universität) and at the Humboldt University of Berlin. He has published many articles on Philosophy and Jewish Thought and a series of translations into Hebrew of French and German philosophy works.
